Women universities are the agent of change
It is an observed fact that when a
stone is thrown in the river it disturbs the balance and tranquility of water. In
this way, any move to change the status quo of society produces some effects
which are, sometimes, felt quickly and sometimes they have a clandestine weight
which suddenly outburst afterwards. The same way, the development of women
specific universities would bring some alteration in the societal structure. Firstly,
these universities would yield educated and skilled women who would turn their
lives to the world of profession. There is randomly half of population of the
world consisting of women and most of them are in no direct use for a country’s
development. Yet, their household responsibility contributes in every field of
life as they support their men to remove the burden of their routine tasks and
make their professional life convenient.
Secondly, these universities would crop
up capable women who would work onto the various pitches and support not only
their family economically but would also share in the economic uplifting of
their country in particular and of the world in general. Currently, a large
portion of female population is either restricted from doing a job exterior to
their traditional ones in patriarchal set-up or they possess no distinguished talent
to work outside the four walls of house, so, their tutelage in universities is
need based.
Thirdly, the university educated
women would retain necessary skills to present to the world a well behaving and
well-mannered society. They shall teach their young ones the most appropriate
and tender attitude and develop a civilized culture which will harvest an
honorable image for country. The change toward this direction is essential for
our state because it would earn good will for us which is necessary for our fruitful
relations with the world.
Fourthly, women are not as much participant
in the political showground and their rather meagre input in the politics both
with respect to balloting and representation is not of the level of maturity as
that of men. This is hurting the political interest of our country. The democratic
values are compromised owing to lack of awareness among (specially) women. The women
universities might fill this gape by introducing socio-political disciplines in
their syllabi.
Apart from above mentioned domains,
there are various others which oblige serious contribution from the female
side. The more the women will contribute in the world affairs the more there
will be an optimistic change. But while pushing women into mainstream sphere,
it is required to keep into consideration the customary set-up of people as the
rapid change might block the flow toward modification due to reactionary traffic.
