Do we really need literature in our lives?(css)
Before it is discussed about the necessity of literature in our lives, it is necessary to know whether there existed a world without literature and if yes then how it differed from the one replete with literary treasure. According to the sacred religious scriptures i.e., Qur’an, Adam and Eve were the first persons to put their feet on earth. As Adam was prophet, he repeatedly received guidance from God about the mundane and religious affairs and he had also transmitted all that knowledge to his successors. If there is something like religious literature, then evident from the availability of Sahifas of Adam, the world was never deprived of the literature. Nonetheless, if the topic implies to modern literature which is the discovery and creation of the persons of thought then there was present a period having near no literature consisting various types of poetry and prose.
Now, what is the importance of literature in our lives? The literature is sole source of the secrets of the world. It tells us about the laws of social behavior, reveals the commonsense, articulates about the capacity of human intelligence and discloses the imaginative strength of people. When all these arts of human distinctiveness are applied, the miracles of science and philosophy take birth. Besides, the beautification of communication and entertainment are the benefits of literature which have revolutionized the interactive conducts of the masses. In fact, the most of the literature is concerned about the love, yearning and admiration of darling, seclusion from the lover, extolment and detestation of wars, the agony of brutality of the despots and dictators, social and religious revolutions, the elucidation of the glamour of nature and socio-political abrasions. It is successful tool for political and emotional tuning. In this sense, the literature is of paramount significance because without it the insolence of attitudes, unsavoriness of words, monopoly of sentences, dearth of entertainment, stagnancy of intelligence and stealth of the historically important events would have spoiled the serenity and reformulation of the world.
Yet, one observes the rapid progress and development of literature in both the soft and the hard world which further provides clue to the interest of people in literature. It seems people can’t afford living without the literature of any sort. As soon as the publishing of any part of literature is paused the more reactionary part of the same comes forth. Actually, no nation survives without its specific literature in the registers of history.
